Summary
Our spacecraft will blasting off from Earth on board an Atlas V rocket. We will be using the upper stage of the rocket to thrust us towards the Saturn system. It will take our spacecraft roughly seven years to reach Saturn. Our spacecraft will be using Nuclear Power (RTG) as the power source. Once there we will perform a series of burns and maneuvers to ensure that our spacecraft orbits Saturn. Once correctly placed in the orbit, we will perform another set of burns that will thrust us towards Enceladus. The spacecraft will perform numerous flybys of Enceladus throughout its lifetime of at least one year. While performing these flybys our spacecraft will continuously gather data using the instrumentation systems on board and relay it back to Earth where scientists will be able to analyze this data. After its mission lifetime is over , the spacecraft will perform a de-orbiting maneuver that will put it on a trajectory to crash into Saturn.
